Pop-Able Fuel Filler

Here is a guide on how to install a pop able fuel filler lid onto your older Holden. This mod enables you to have a leaver by your seat and when you pull it it pops the fuel lid open like the newer commies...

Materials Needed (Sorry I don't know the correct names):

VN-VT Cable from lever to lid
VN-VT Lever
VN-VT Opener Thing
VN-VS Fuel Lid

How to go about it

1. Get the above items from a wrecker or holden (i got mine free from a wrecker...)

2. Remove the 2 screws that hold the old lid in and remove the lid. Put in new lid and replace screws.

3. Go to your boot and locate the place to drill a hole for the 'opener thing'. On the vk there is a flat bit in the middle of 2 lumps where I drilled mine.

4. Put the 'opener thing' in and do up the nut on the other side. See how u go by pulling the cable. You may have to put a few washers to space e it out either way (i used 2)

5. Route the cable into the cabin along the line of the wiring, Some models you may have to drill a hole. The calais has plenty of holes.

6. Drill 3 holes for the lever thing in your desired location and mount it using screws.
