As stated before, I picked up the VK for a measly sum of $600. Quite a bargain I think.... Most of the people that saw my vk when I first got it (including my immediate family) saw an old beaten up bomb that would cost a shitload to fix and get looking right....

Some reasons why I don't think so....

-Very straight
-No rust
-Previous owner done most of the hard work

These days VK Calais's are becoming very rare to find, even finding one in perfect condition, is harder, and one with all the electrics working harder still. Yes this edition of the calais comes with digital dash, which I thought was pretty sweet, I connected up a battery to the existing loom and the dash came to life and it all worked...

Another advantage of this car was that its efi. A big saving grace in terms of work, As I wouldn't have to get it engineered for an efi conversion. This means I can use all the existing fuel lines etc......
