Tailshaft
There are a few tailshaft options available for the conversion, the most popular one is to just use the standard vk item, although will work fine. You will find you may snap them occasionally. Ideally you want to use the vn one, but it is a tad too long.
After measuring it, The tailshaft from the vn needed to be shortened by 2" at the rear. So recommended by a guy at work, I took it to Hardy Spicer's driveline services. Boy these guys are the pro's they shortened my tailshaft and upon inspection informed me I needed a new centre bearing. Both the shortening and centre bearing set me back $145. Plus they also re oiled the main joints, balanced it, cleaned it AND gave it a new coat of paint!
I had the new tailshaft and it bolted straight up, no hassles whatsoever. I thoroughly recommend them for all your driveline needs...
