Fuel Tank

The fuel tank filler neck has to be replaced to meet ADR regulations. This is because you must change the filler neck to accept unleaded fuels only. To change the neck only would be a hell of a job, So the easy way is to change the fuel tank.

The tank off the vn is a straight bolt on and you are getting a more powerful fuel pump (needed for the vn motor) and the filler neck as well. For the neck to fit in the vk, it has to be shortened. We did this by loosening the hose clamps around the neck and sliding it down a little bit. Took about 5 mins. We then jacked up the fuel tank and used the original vn straps to hold it into place.
